Accelerated Resolution Therapy, or ART, is an evidence based therapy that uses relaxing eye movements and voluntary image replacement to change the way distressing memories are stored in the brain.   Imagine being able to remember a distressing situation without the strong emotional response that comes along with the memory.  ART allows a person to do just that!  Created by Laney Rozenweig in 2008, ART has been used for over a decade to treat PTSD in veterans, as well as help thousands of people to cope with chronic anxiety, depression, and other symptoms that affect their every day life.  With ART, clients can start feeling relief from their sysmptoms in the very first session.

Lapeer Christian Counseling now has two ART practitioners: Susan Lovelette, LMSW and Ellie McCallister, LLMSW.   ART treatment usually lasts between 1 and 5 sessions, lasting between 60 and 90 minutes per session.

ART treatment can be used for:

ADHD
